What are SARMS

Muscle building through SARMs - high risks in the event of abuse

The Controversial Effects of Selective Androgen Receptor Modulators

Selective androgen receptor modulators, or SARMs for short, are a chance for people with muscle wasting or to build muscle after a serious operation to shape their lives independently again and to accelerate the development of muscle mass. However, the misuse of anabolic steroids is a high risk that is underestimated by professional athletes and bodybuilders. Some speak of a miracle cure, while others point out the danger and point out that it is an anabolic steroid with all the risks and side effects. Obtaining the supposed miracle cure is easy, since anyone interested can easily order SARMs on the Internet and use them without a medical certificate. So far, side effects such as hair loss, masculine development in women, severe acne and oily skin and a weakened immune system have been observed during and after ingestion. The change in genetic material is also one of the risks that one should be aware of with SARMs as with steroids. Whether the rapid muscle building is worth these risks is questionable.

Muscle building vs. damage to health

Anyone who takes SARMs, due to the lack of research results to date, has to reckon with further adverse effects on their health in addition to the proven side effects. Eye problems such as the yellowing of the lens or the promotion of the formation of cancerous tumors cannot be ruled out in connection with selective androgen receptor modulators. In sports circles, primarily in bodybuilding, SARMs are touted as harmless and side effect-free boosters in muscle building. But as shown in laboratory animals, the product is not all that harmless and definitely not free from side effects. A final assessment could only be made after SARMs have been tested in long-term studies over 10 to 20 years.
