South-by-Southwest Festival

The South by Southwest (SXSW) brings together festivals, conferences and exhibitions in the fields of music, film and interactive in an event that takes place annually in March in Austin, Texas. In terms of the number of stages, the festival is one of the largest in the world. The AUSSENWIRTSCHAFT Kreativwirtschaft is planning a group stand together with Comrades GmbH at the cross-industry Trade show as part of the SXSWwhich of Sunday 15th to Wednesday 18th March 2015 takes place. The group stand focuses on the areas Interactive and music.

This event takes place as part of the go-international internationalization offensive, a funding initiative of the Federal Ministry for Science, Research and Economy and the Austrian Chamber of Commerce.

Important note for interested tech startups: in preparation for the SXSW, the Foreign Trade Center New York is planning on Wednesday 11th and Thursday 12th March 2015 during an optional stopover in New York Pitching days to offer. The Austrian tech startups are trained by an American pitching coach, receive feedback on their business models from investors and visit the recognized Techstars Accelerator in New York.

Use this opportunity to present your company as well as your products and services in this unique setting. At the Pitching Days in New York you will get an insight into the American start-up culture and you will get the right skill set to present yourself perfectly at the SXSW. As part of your presence at SXSW, you also have the opportunity to be present at the joint stand. A social space will be available here, which you can reserve for meetings or presentations via an online system.

 

The following options are available:

Participation in the delegation to the SXSW - this includes:

  • An accreditation for SXSW Music (value: $ 725) or SXSW Interactive (value: $ 1,025)
  • A brief introduction including a logo imprint in the booklet that will be published and placed in the course of the tradeshow
  • The possibility to reserve the social space (maximum of one appointment per day, first come first serve)
  • The care of the stand as well as the takeover of business cards by a stand employee

The participation fee for members and new self-employed is EUR 500 (plus 20% VAT)

The participation fee for non-members is EUR 1,000 (plus 20% VAT)

Participation as a co-exhibitor - this includes:

  • An accreditation for SXSW Music (value: $ 725) or SXSW Interactive (value: $ 1,025)
  • A full-page portrait including a logo print and a full-page advertisement in the booklet, which will be published and placed in the course of the tradeshow
  • The integration of the logo in the stand design
  • The fixed reservation of the social space for 3 x 60 minutes during the trade show and placement of a roll-up during this time
  • The edition of an information folder / flyer at the stand
  • The possibility to reserve the social space (maximum of one appointment per day, first come first serve)
  • The care of the stand as well as the takeover of business cards by a stand employee

The participation fee for members and new self-employed is EUR 2,800 (plus 20% VAT)

The participation fee for non-members is EUR 5,600 (plus 20% VAT)
