What is GMAT?

GMAT is an online test that provides a path for all candidates to management programs offered by various B schools around the world. The exam is designed to test the analytical, writing, quantitative, verbal and reading skills in English of a candidate looking for a Masters program such as MBA.

GMAT offers the following benefits:

What is a computer adaptive test?

GMAT is a question-and-answer test. It adapts to your performance during the test. While the test usually starts with a question of moderate difficulty, the difficulty of the question changes depending on whether questions are right or wrong. If you answer correctly, the difficulty of the question increases and you begin to see more difficult questions. Likewise, if you get questions wrong, you start to see simpler questions. Your score is calculated based on your performance in the test section at different difficulty levels.

Because the next question is generated based on your performance in the current question (s), you cannot go back to a previous question. You also MUST answer a question (whether or not you can solve it) in order to move on to the next question.

What is an Executive Assessment Exam?

GMAC recently introduced a new Mini GMAT called the Executive Assessment Exam for the Executive MBA course. This exam is aimed at candidates aiming for an E-MBA. The exam is much shorter than the regular GMAT. The test is designed to examine the analytical and logical thinking skills of the test takers. It is intended to assess the suitability of candidates for the E-MBA course.

What is the registration fee for GMAT?

Worldwide, the cost of GMAT is $ 250. If candidates want to postpone the exam, they must pay a US $ 50 GMAT fee. The GMAT cancellation fee is US $ 80.

What is the difference between GMAT and GRE?

  • GMAT is the standardized test for top business schools around the world. Similar to GRE, the exam consists of a verbal and a quantitative section.
  • Unlike GRE, the two sections are combined to give a composite score of 800.
  • GMAT cannot be used in place of the GRE. Unless a candidate is sure they want to go to a business school, they are advised not to take a GMAT exam.
